Well, today is Rachael’s first birthday. It is very hard to believe that a whole year has gone by already. It makes me remember all of those times that I’ve heard parents say that “it goes so fast”; there can be nothing closer to the truth. It is amazing to remember (as vividly as I can, even ’til this day) the day that Alina and I found out that she was pregnant, how it was so happy and so scary at the same time. The pregnancy went so fast (well, at least it did for me because I didn’t do any of the work, but Alina might disagree), it seemed like we didn’t have enough time. And when I consider that her birth seems like it was only yesterday I can understand how time flys.

Anyway, thank God for His grace in teaching us how to be parents, and His continued guidance to help us to be better parents. And thank God for the joy that is Rachael.
