We celebrated Rachael’s birthday today (we didn’t during the week because it was during the week). We had a lot of fun and more importantly, she had a lot of fun. She got to be around a lot of friends and family that love her, and that is what we wanted most. You can’t compare affection to toys. My mom was determined to have a smash cake for Rachael, and although we know that Rachael wouldn’t have been let down (or even know the difference), we didn’t want to make my mom sad, so we let Rachael tear apart her own cake.
We do have some pictures that will be posted soon. I just want to say thank you to everyone who came and everyone who was thinking about her on this special day.
